Looking to hire a skip for the first time? Why not let GSH Skips help you find out everything you need to know about skip hire in Liverpool?
We have led the way in waste disposal across Merseyside for more than 40 years and understand what works best when it comes to hiring a skip – so you can rest assured that you’re in capable hands.
Choosing a skip
Before hiring a skip, try to estimate how much waste your project will generate, this will help you to determine the size you need.
Starting from 4-cubic yards and ranging all the way up to 14-cubic yards, we can provide you with a domestic skip that comfortably accommodates your waste.
If you’re unsure which skip you need for your project, we’re on hand to guide and advise you.
Siting a skip
Here at GSH, we will deliver your skip to the location of your choice – but remember, there needs to be enough space for us to manoeuvre our vehicles safely.
We take care to make sure skips don’t block access to manhole covers, drains or neighbours driveways and always arrange delivery at a time that suits you.
Skip hire permission
You only need permission to site a skip if you plan to leave it on the road. Permission is granted by the local authority and we can obtain the permit on your behalf.
All skip hire permits are required before you start your project.
Loading a skip
Domestic skip hire is an easy way to get rid of many things, including plastic, cardboard, bricks, rubble, garden material, and furniture, but some items need to be disposed of separately. If you’re in two minds, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team at GSH. We will be more than happy to help, making sure that wherever your skip is needed – be it skip hire in Liverpool, St Helens or Widnes – it complies with regulations.
Removing a skip
Once your skip is full, simply call us and we will schedule a time to collect it from your premises.
To make sure skips are removed safely, please ensure that are level-loaded and don’t have waste spilling over the sides.
